On Saturday 15th July, which is close to second anniversary of our dear friend Darren Maironis’ passing, we have decided to embark on a virtual journey from Lands End to John O’Groats (1,496 km’s), a journey spanning the length of the United Kingdom, symbolizing our love and remembrance of such a special person.

We will complete this challenge in Shacklady’s Gym, which was much more than just a gym to Darren. It was his second home, a place of dedication, strength, and personal growth.

By embarking on this virtual journey, we pay homage to the special connection Darren had with this place and carry his spirit forward.

We will complete the journey on equipment that Darren used e.g. bikes, Concept machines and treadmills.

We are hoping to raise £5000, which will be split and shared with the North West Air Ambulance, and 2 charities local to the Eccles area.
